About the Homework Center

The Homework Center is located at the Central Library and dedicated to students from 2nd-12th grade and offers:

  • 16 computers equipped with: Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint 
    • Informational Databases which include
    • World Book Online
    • Magazine articles and  newspaper articles
    • Access to the Internet
    • Featuring: Tutor.com-  Online help from real tutors
    On line tutoring service from Tutor.com™ that connects students to expert tutors (at no charge) in math, science, social studies, and English via the Internet.  Spanish-speaking tutors are available to help students in math and science. This free service allows students to connect to an expert tutor either from the library or from their home PC or Mac with a library card.

  • Homework Helpers who can assist with simple homework questions.

Homework Center Hours: Central Library Only

The Homework Center is available with staff on call. Please go to the Reference Desk and ask for assistance. 
 During the school year:
 Monday-Wednesday   3:00pm - 8:00pm
 Thursday & Friday   3:00pm - 5:00pm
 Saturday  10:00am - 5:00pm
 Summer Hours: On-Call during Library Hours of Operation
