COMPASS Mentor Program

The College Opportunity Mentor Program for all Students’ Success (COMPASS) seeks to empower first generation, college bound, eighth, ninth and tenth grade students and their parents to make informed and thoughtful decisions throughout high school. Students are college bound through academics, leadership skills and personal aspiration. This summer, students will be given the tools necessary to navigate high school and will attend workshops to help explore all aspects of college admission and life.

Amy Biehl Foundation Mentor Program

The Amy Biehl Foundation Project seeks to develop students’ critical awareness of the compelling human rights issues of the 21st century and their sense of social responsibility for addressing human rights challenges (global and local) that align with their personal values. Students are challenged to learn these principles while also working collectively and collaboratively in forming ideas and taking actions in response to social issues they deem important. This vision is based on values that were dear to Amy Biehl – a 26-year-old Fulbright scholar and anti-apartheid activist who worked for social change in South Africa.
